'RRR' MOVIE REVIEW : Rajamouli is back with a mass entertainer

Introduction:

'RRR' is the most recent box-office hit in a variety of languages. The story takes place in Delhi in the 1920s. When Malli, a little country girl, is kidnapped by British officers, Akhtar (NTR) travels to Delhi to rescue her. Ramaraju (Ram Charan), on the other hand, works as a British police officer and tells his superiors that he would capture Akhtar dead or alive. Akhtar and Ram meet by chance and form a friendship. When Ram realizes that Akhtar is none other than Bheem, he has him arrested. What is Ramaraju's motivation for working for the British? What is his true motivation? Will Bheem be able to save the young girl?

Analysis:

Jr NTR's outstanding performance, as well as Charan's superb acting, is the film's greatest jewel. Easily, the former conveys fear in his eyes, warmth in his voice, love in his language, and passion in his manner. The latter, who goes by the title Mega Power Star, transforms entire scenes. 'RRR' has a rich texture that ranges from concealed identities to overt dangers, from minor comedy to vibrant friendship. Bheem and Ram's entrance scenes tell their own story. Both of them must avoid being killed. As a result, Bheem and Ram will face a number of obstacles throughout the film. Their risks eventually wear us down.

Let's keep it simple so as not to ruin the experience: NTR leads an attack in which the concept is brilliant, but he executes it poorly. The song "Naatu Naatu" is a treat for both fans and mainstream audiences. After the intermission, the reason why Ramaraju works for the British and his past are revealed. In the second half, Ajay Devgn and Alia can be seen on the screen. Alia Bhatt isn't given significant screen time. She's only been there for a few minutes as a guest performer. The flashback sequence belongs to Ajay Devgn, and he owns it with his screen presence. Olivia Morris portrays Mem Sahib in a traditional British role. Alison Doody and Ray Stevenson play ridiculous characters. In certain sections, the pace slows down, and several situations appear contrived and cinematic.

Ram Charan's Ramaraju is a multi-layered character. He is shown as a guy consumed by fire and troubled by inner agony. The performance of Ram Charan steals the show. Ram Charan is raised for the whole second half. Alluri Sita Ramaraju's final fight outfit is a delight for his followers. Charan's part is better scripted, and he has more situations in which he is the center of attention. But the character of NTR also loses prominence in the second half. Except for the song "Komaram Bheemudo," NTR is barely visible in the second half. Even in the climactic scene, NTR is sidelined, and his goal of bringing the girl home is forgotten in the midst of the chaos. Many scenes have a rushed feel to them.

The film concludes with a large battle scene that lasts more than 20 minutes. Though the climax was a treat to watch, it feels a bit far-fetched.

Conclusion:

Underneath the glossy production and grandeur, flaws, a poor plot, and a forced emotional core are immediately obvious. This does not appear to be a Rajamouli film. 'RRR' is more of a story about friendship and collaboration than a film about the struggle for freedom. It has some interesting story twists. Its notable characteristics are the action sequences, the stunning performances by the key actors, the interval bangs, and the climax. It's still a film that makes us stop and stare at the breathtaking visuals. So, it needs to be seen and experienced for that reason.

My Rating: 6.5/10
