Not everyone likes to lift heavyweights in the gym for hours. But it’s also true that fitness is no choice but a necessity in today’s world. Many of us are leading unhealthy lives. We don’t take appropriate steps for our health and when we fall ill, it becomes an eye-opener for us. So, why don’t we take the 1st step towards our health by doing a workout!! All you need is a workout session of 30-45 minute workout sessions for 4-5 days per week to get fit. You can choose to work out at home or join a gym according to your goals. So, let’s discuss some ideas by which you can incorporate workouts into your daily routine.

  • You should walk more daily. You can walk at least 5000 steps daily and then try to increase the number of steps. You can do this by walking for only 10 minutes every one hour. It will keep you active as well as you will be able to fulfill your daily steps requirement. You can also work while talking on a mobile or using social media. You can also buy a fitness tracker which will let you know how many steps you have taken that day.
  • Most of the time we take an easier path when we are given two choices to choose from. But in fitness, you shouldn’t look out for instant remedies. So, whenever you are required to choose between stairs and elevators, try to choose stairs. If you add this small activity to your life, it is beneficial for your health in the long run.
  • You can promise yourself that you will work out after completing a particular activity every day. For example, you can work out after brushing your teeth in the morning. But make sure to take a light snack before working out.
  • You can reward yourself after working out for a week. When you do this, it will keep you motivated and you will not want to give up on your workout routine also. You can take your favorite meal or you can go to a nice place with your friends. You can do anything which will make you happy. As fitness is a long-term process, you need to listen to yourself, or else this journey will just be a burden on you.
  • Whether you join a gym or work out at home, if you get a workout partner, it will definitely help you. You both can motivate each other. Sometimes when you work out alone, after a few days, you may not feel like working out. But if you have a workout partner, you both can challenge each other from time to time. It will make this journey of fitness intriguing and entertaining.
  • Before selecting a workout routine, you should explore different options. If you don’t like to run but do it for the sake of fitness only, you definitely won’t be able to continue this after a few days as it will be tiresome for you. So, you can try Yoga, Pilates, Cardio, Strength training, Calisthenics, etc., and then choose which option is suitable for you. But it’s recommended that you should try to mix 2-3 types of activities into your workout routine. For example, you can do yoga on your active rest days and cardio for 2-3 days, and strength training for 2-3 days a week.
  • You should fix a particular timing for your workout. You can work out in the evening or morning as per your comfort. If you fix a particular time, your body will get adapted to it and it will alert you to work out when that time comes. So, it’s like your own internal alarm, which will help you in the long run.
  • You can invest in fitness equipment as it will motivate you to work out regularly. You can buy some resistance bands, sports shoes, workout clothes, dumbbells of different weights, etc.
  • Sometimes you don’t feel like working out and it’s totally alright. So, when you feel like this, try to work out for at least 10-15 minutes and it will definitely help you. Always remember that something is better than nothing. You can do some stretching exercises or even go for a walk.
  • You can get physical as well as mental benefits by doing workouts regularly. It’s only you who can motivate yourself to work out. Indeed, you won’t be able to see the changes in your body instantly. But you should not give up. If you continue your workout routine for even a few months, undoubtedly you will see visible positive changes in your body. You should eat healthy food also when you are following a fitness routine as these both are two sides of the fitness coin. So, don’t be harsh on yourself and enjoy this beautiful process.

All the very best!!
