'GULLAK' SEASON 3 REVIEW : The Mishra family returns with more heartwarming stories

Introduction:

Gullak Season 3 produced by Arunabh Kumar and created by Sreyansh Pandey, a popular family comedy-drama of SonyLiv, continues to impress with its third season.

This season consists of 5 episodes. Each episode lasts 25 to 30 minutes and is really entertaining to watch. Only the season's final episode is 45 minutes long. The story of the Mishra family is narrated by a gullak (voiced by Shivankit Singh Parihar), which is a treat to watch. The flawless performances of the main characters are set up by outstanding composition, even if it becomes a little too dramatic at times. Gullak began streaming on SonyLiv over three years ago. It was really different from a lot of what had been available on Indian streaming stages. In any event, as any producer will tell you, producing a good program is difficult, but supporting it is even more difficult.

How the story begins:

This time, the story has progressed beyond satirical comedy and has touched the heart of the matter. The situation has evolved into an emotional one and there is a new tale relating to the same family that we have seen in the previous two seasons. If you haven't seen the prior seasons, you should. So go ahead and watch it first so you can go right into season three.

In this narrative, Mishra ji's elder son has gotten a job and the house's obligations are also on his shoulders. His younger son is also about to enter class XI. As a result, if one source of revenue rises, another source of expenditure rises as well. And this is something that practically every middle-class and lower-middle-class family experiences. To spend on necessities, the wealthy or household earners often sacrifice their hobbies or happiness.

Despite the struggles and problems, each episode is packed with light-hearted everyday chatter that occurs in the household, where every member of the family's ambitions, desires, and aspirations are explored comprehensively.

Let's have a look at the episodes:

In the first episode, 'Mission Admission', the core of this episode is Aman, who has just passed his Higher Secondary Exams with flying colors, being compelled to study Science.

In the second episode, 'LTA', Santosh Mishra is reminded that his allowance is due, and his family criticizes him for not taking a vacation.

In the third episode, 'Agua', when his childhood friend comes over with his daughter Furtili to his house to have her married to a boy who lives nearby, we are told how Santosh Mishra was a wonderful Samaritan during his younger days.

Office politics and religious traditions take center stage in 'Satyanarayan Vrat Katha' which is the fourth episode.

In the final episode, 'Izzat ki Chamkaar', Santosh is suspended from work for not actively participating in union operations, and he accepts the suspension and gets a minor heart attack. When tragedy hits, the story concludes with the family being pulled together and gathering strength from one another.

Analysis:

It's tough to believe the performers aren't related since they add so much flavor, nuance, and wonderfully produced on-screen interaction. Geetanjali Kulkarni is exceptional, a gifted performer who has yet to be recognized, while Jameel, Vaibhav, and Harsh are also flawless. Even though some of the scripts are a little stale, the actors who portray the parts do an excellent job of injecting fluency and spirit into the performance. Season 3 of Gullak never loses touch with its inherent breeziness, thanks to the spontaneity of the four core members of the group.

Each episode is a touching and inspiring story about family bonding, and it finally demonstrates what each of them is prepared to do for the other. There is something in the series that taps the right chord of your heart. The skilled and competitive ace performers who are earnest and natural in their approach are crucial to the series. The casting is near-perfect. With genuine on-screen chemistry and superb delivery, they make their roles approachable and create nostalgia.

Conclusion:

I would really like to express my gratefulness to TVF for bringing a web series like Gullak to the attention of the public. The script, presentation, and performance of all of the actors in this series are all extremely grounded and authentic. So, grab your popcorn and watch this show with your family.

My Rating: 9/10
